I was going to laugh and say that Rutgers fans meant perennial top 10 B1Gs placement but that isn't even true. Best finish was 5th, and in the majority of years they finished 9th or lower out of 14 teams, including 11th in 2023. They are a destination alright. Every time I flush, it races to NJ.

Rutgers stumbled onto the secret of attracting top recruits from other schools. Gut your coaching staff of all the top quality individuals and everyone will want to come to your program. In Rutgers' case, they lost Ashnault, Pritzlaff, Buxton and Rivera in a year. Top wrestlers love to see that kind of thing.

I heard from a self-professed insider ( you may consider it a highly informed rumor) that the rumors concerning the rumors of multiple Penn State transfers to Rutgers being imminent may very well be unsubstantiated rumors rather than slightly informed rumors. Other rumors indicate that these rumors have serious verification issues, leaving to the final resolution of these multitude of rumors as "Most Likely invalid based on a consistent lack of verifiable facts............... .That should clear things up. That I don’t know, I talked to his grandparents before he committed to Rutgers, they said they were really hoping it would be psu but he wasn’t offered $…..they didn’t say a number but sounded like Rutgers offered a nice chunk….but you’re right, he wouldn’t start at psu

There is one Rutgers shitposter making stuff up, and a bunch of PSU fans taking it seriously.
They’ve had two - Suriano and Ashnault. Suriano had just transferred FROM Penn State and clearly want going back (although he even considered that as a grad transfer but couldn’t pass up the Cliff Keen money…). Ashnault was a Jersey kid through and through and wasn’t going anywhere else. It’s worth noting he choose to go to Princeton instead of Rutgers as a coach, though.
Of course. He’s a blue chip recruit for Rutgers, so of course they’re rolling out the red carpet for him. He seems like a good kid. I wish him well (against everyone else of course).
If we are being objective, it is possible that the Princeton coaching opening was a better opportunity than Rutgers when considering compensation, responsibilities, job title etc. No idea how the two positions would compare. Or maybe he hates Goodale.
