Trib article on B/W players to watch

It may not be due to this link, but the moment I opened it, I had an attack on my computer that I had to hard close down to regain control over my screen. Perhaps coincidental but I would be wary of the link.

I had posted that from my phone while I was waiting on getting tires installed on my car, so I just went to site and re-posted the link. No trouble with viewing that article again. Can't imagine a Trib link being a problem......

Opened for me with no issues. Good article.....most of the players are spoken about here daily. The positive discussion around Winston is encouraging....... I'm expecting Rojas to make some plays this year.....but not play more than 1/4 of the defensive snaps. Hoping that DDS has a step up in playing time and continues to improve in both Run and Pass Rush........

Yep, we really have to be happy about CB, Safety, LB, and DE for 2023. And I also believe that DT could surprise us if injuries don't take a toll there. Wheatley, Winston, Flowers and then Mack and Nelson arriving this summer. Pretty proven and high level starter at LB and Wylie, Rojas and Robinson very athletic and trying to get on the field with Keys arriving shortly.

If I make it to PSU tomorrow I'll be looking for #12, #16 and #27 on the field to see how the next generation of CB's, probably not needed this year, are developing.

Franklin will probably bring in another big DT from the portal, but there is the possibility that Artis and Townley showed an ability to contribute during Spring practices which would help as well.

Lots to be optimistic about on offense, with all eyes on the QB's and WR's........

What DTs are available at this point?

May have purely been coincidence. I'm not going to try again though. Thanks for the synopsis.

I know there are some available but how many are immediate impact players? A lot of kids transfer because they aren't getting PT at their current school. Some try to make a move up from smaller schools but I assume most of those would have decided much earlier.

None of these guys left appear to be ready to start for us in '23. I didn't research any of them yet, but there are only 3 or 4 300 lbs body types out there. I expect more to appear Sunday or Monday with the spring window opening, but that's likely to best fast and chaotic.

But if they're not deciding until after spring practice I assume that's because they've been told they won't be starting for their current team.

Unless they can be lured with more NIL money.

Your welcome.

I just got back from the Meadows. I have 2 brothers, both older. The middle brother has about 10 race horses at any one time, including the mares he has breeded yearly. I don't usually pay much attention as I get the stories whether I want them or not. But he has a pretty promising 3 year old that is racing in a 3 race series that began today, so my oldest brother picked me up and we went and watched it.

The horse, "Fire and Lightning", won by a nose in a pretty fast time of 1:54 and 4. Got our pictures taken in the winners circle.

Nice day, but I'm hoping to see some "winners" tomorrow as well....

Very good point. I was merely pointing out that the next portal window opens soon. More will enter. We might lose 2 DTs for all we know and might need ANY 2 for depth, high quality or not.

This window will be interesting from a NIL perspective. Do we see any big names test the market? I don't feel like a Caleb Williams or Jordan Addison has entered this off season.
