It's both. Canada needs to be fired today but Pickett is awful. I'd trade him for Zach Wilson straight up. Probably even throw in a pick
I’m going all in. Wholesale changes needed; similar to when Dan Rooney took over from Art I. Replace entire coaching staff etc. It’s time. (In the off season of course)
QBs, in the NFL today, are playmakers. Big, strong, fast, shifty. Pickett is none of those things. He's going to be a good serviceable QB but he's not going to take the steelers to the SB without an amazing supporting cast.
Tomlin has not fixed the OL in five years. Inhibits run game and any hope of developing a young QB.
Two years from now Pickett will be an XFL backup QB. He lacks the basic skills and athletic ability to be a big time NFL QB. Taking him #1 in the draft last year was the biggest draft mistake made by the Steelers in recent history.
Is Pickett playing on Sunday? He is the best the Stillers got. Let him play out this season and see where we are. Probably need to give him next season as well unless this year is a complete disaster. Need to address other issues like the OLine.
You all need to stop blaming Pickett. He comes from the ACC, land of the NFL QB giants. Clearly you don't know the top quality players as from the lowly BT. It must be something else. A dumb blue and gold animal told us as much a few months ago. I hear it rummaging through dumpsters looking for 2021 sports articles.
I initially thought the same thing but now I don’t even believe he can good serviceable starter. Maybe a backup. He simply doesn’t have the arm talent. His throws run out of steam too quick and there isn’t enough zip or drive on the ball.
Lol still not a Michigan fan. Watch Zach Wilson against KC and any game you want of Pickett. Zach Wilson comes across as a petulant child but as least has talent. We can also move on from him faster as neither are the future.
