Thinking about it. Not sure after attending three to four road games this year. The problem with going to Auburn is getting there. Looking at two flights and a drive from Reagan.
I plan on attending. It is only a 135 miles from my house.
You plan on driving from Reagan National in DC to Auburn Al?Thinking about it. Not sure after attending three to four road games this year. The problem with going to Auburn is getting there. Looking at two flights and a drive from Reagan.
I don't think Penn State would give Auburn an allotment that wasn't matched on the return trip. Curious how much we gave Auburn... 6k? They definitely had over half the north upper deck and that seats 10k... looks like they also had a small chunk of the chairbacks in the upper south end as well.Started looking yesterday but only on hotels.com. Nothing in Auburn which I surmise might be smaller than State College. Look east towards Georgia.
Theirplaying cottagestadium only holds 85K. So probably not a great chance of PSU getting a big allotment of tickets.
Not sure Auburn fans will sell their tickets like obviously many PSU fans did.I don't think Penn State would give Auburn an allotment that wasn't matched on the return trip. Thinking of going to Auburn game next year and tie it in with some college visits for my kid. Anyone book a hotel yet or have any info on places to try and stay? Much appreciated.
I'd say about 2,000 of the 80,000 seats (minus student and visiting team sections) were sold to Auburn fans in the secondary market. Considering tickets were going for 200-400 bucks, that's not too bad IMHO. You can't get mad at people for getting half of what their season tickets cost for 1 game. Not sure Auburn fans will sell their tickets like obviously many PSU fans did.
Sell your tickets to PSU fans and not on the secondary market. Pretty simple.I'd say about 2,000 of the 80,000 seats (minus student and visiting team sections) were sold to Auburn fans in the secondary market. We'll see how well we travel next season. Given how the game in Happy Valley went this season, I'd imagine we travel just as well in 2022.
Nothing wrong with a few thousand extra Auburn fans taking in the environment, when there's 109,000 folks in attendance.Sell your tickets to PSU fans and not on the secondary market. Pretty simple.
I believe Auburn fans bought a substantial amount of our season ticket holder pimps resale tickets on ticketmaster for hefty prices. Not sure Auburn fans will sell their tickets like obviously many PSU fans did.
Yeah but those were not the allotment. The allotment sold out. The others were PSU fans giving up the tix to people who were willing to pay top $ for it.I don't think Penn State would give Auburn an allotment that wasn't matched on the return trip. The fewer away fans the better…that should be obvious.Nothing wrong with a few thousand extra Auburn fans taking in the environment, when there's 109,000 folks in attendance.
It was still an incredible home field advantage, I enjoyed meeting the Auburn fans ... can't wait for the return trip next year.
My son is currently attending auburn. Hard to get rooms in walking distance of campus for visitors. I have had success booking hotels within a 10 minute drive on 85 (including Georgia game in October). Atlanta airport is 75-90 minutes away which is not bad. Also Columbus, GA has an airport and is about 40 miles from campus. Since my son has been there almost every September game has been a night game. Still very hot and humid that time of year. Like PSU, traffic after games can be bad leaving although nothing like we saw this past weekend at psu. College town with downtown much smaller than state college but stadium is in middle of campus and a 5 minute walk to Toomers Corner (the main area of town). Great environment.Thinking of going to Auburn game next year and tie it in with some college visits for my kid. Anyone book a hotel yet or have any info on places to try and stay? Much appreciated.

I’m originally from Richmond, In., its only 80 miles from Cbus. No one hates tO$U as much as me.i just booked in Columbus as a back up. If some other options don't work out, this is the back up plan. At least its a decent hotel.
@Kellerdog, I see you think about Columbus Ga the way we think of Columbus OH.![]()
Was thinking about it - might look into it now that I have a back up hotel plan.Anyone planning to go to the game in an RV? I heard their RV lots are free.
They are. Not too bad of a trek. (20 minutes). Shuttle service is spotty.Anyone planning to go to the game in an RV? I heard their RV lots are free.
