This young man deserves a shout-out, winning his second straight Elite 89 for highest GPA.

Double major in Criminal Justice and Communications, 3.984 GPA, 9 times dean list and got a 4.0 seven times.

In an age where sometimes people forget that student comes before athlete, this is refreshing.

A greatly appreciated shout-out to Kid for his recognition of Tristan Warner's extraordinary accomplishments. It is indeed most refreshing to acknowledge a scholar-athlete's stellar achievements, of which we so often lose sight in our nearly single-minded focus upon wins and losses--important though they are, including to me as a staunch Nits fan (except when Tristan or TC wrestle them). Tristan not only had a tremendous 5 years in the classroom, but recorded a 29-4 record, placed at Midlands, and was a leader on the ODU team and in the community. The sky is the limit for this young man, who personifies class, humility, hard work and dignity; and who happens to be my beloved son (as does his exceptionally talented brother, a true frosh at ODU and former PIAA AAA champ (beating Shields in the finals last year). This dad could not be prouder of Tristan, and kudos to you Kid for your thoughtful words.
