Yep, Another in a long series of "big blows" to our defense as a result of injuries this year. PSU will just have to "play through it" like all the earlier key injuries which have made this team look far worse on the field than they actually are. The one thing that many miss about this stuff happening this year is that it will pay HUGE dividends for PSU next year because having to "battle on" and not giving in builds character. It also builds valuable depth and experience in the replacements to these injuries. Neither of things will be "revealed" in terms of how valuable they are until next season, but when the injured players return to the team, along with the more "seasoned players" who gained seasoning this year replacing those players, along with all the "new blood" coming into the system from Coach having 3 years of his recruits going into the system.....when you add all those things up, it will pay huge dividends NEXT SEASON in my opinion - HUGE DIVIDENDS in my opinion. PSU will be a much more "battle hardened" team next year - that is my prediction.
That really stinks! Reeder has really impressed me this year. I hope it's nothing serious. Then again, injuries are part of football and its a chance for someone else to step up.
That's a huge blow. Lucas, Reeder, & Campbell. I wonder how strong Nassib is? PSU has a lot of good defensive players but can't afford injuries. I expect to see Bowen. Maybe Wooten.
Maybe Ben Kline is healthy enough to play today - very experienced player that has not been healthy enough to play the last few years .....
Not a drop off with Cooper? Have you watched them play? One of them today dropped into pass coverage on a power OT run. Does not even need to be blocked on almost every play. Doing the right thing and playing a lot of nickel and just blitizing him off the edge when he is in, Just not ready to play, but we have no choice.
