Should the pile driver be legal? I kid. Should Trumble have been disqualified, or was it just a case of unnecessary roughness?

He’s been doing that move since he was 6.
in the clip did they say he didn’t have medical time?

Correct. No injury time because the ref ruled it an illegal hold, not unnecessary roughness. In all fairness, he just dropped him on his head. He'd didn't drive his head into the mat. He couldn't go for the high amplitude throw, so he just dropped him straight down to the mat. Still not a recommended move.

I would disagree, he intentionally lifted both feet off the ground, one could say jumped to do so, with the intent to land on opponents head first. That does not constitute drop to me which would simply be a bend at knees toward mat.

Fair enough. It's not good any way you slice it. I'm trying to give Trumble the benefit of the doubt here. I would hope that a wrestler would not try to intentionally injure an opponent in that way.

Geez, I hated seeing that. To me, that looked intentional with intent to harm. I'm not familiar with the exact rules but I thought it would result in a disqualification. What if Bonnacorsi had been seriously injured? Could Trumble have been held responsible legally?

It became intentional when he left his feet, A legal wrestling move would have been for Trumble to have gotten his legs back and dropped his hips. What we saw was WWF.
