I know the debate is still 2+ hours away, but there are lots of issues we can discuss "pre-game".
What version of each candidate will we see tonight?
Personally, I agree with Spin's prediction that Commu-la will go all in on the "victim" thing and try to paint Trump as a big bad meanie every opportunity that she gets. But here's the thing with our girl Commu-la, she's as dumb as a thick plank and will just come off looking predictable and pathetic. She has no depth. She will deliver her "kill shots" in a ham fisted way and Trump will make mince meat of her feeble attempts at attacking him.
Trump will be subdued and in control for like 5 minutes. Then, watch out, he'll go off like a Roman candal. But , on balance, it won't matter, because in between his rants he will get all the good stuff out there and Commu-la has no answers to any of it except her lame platitudes and evasion.
What version of the ABC moderators will we see tonight?
Wil ABC take the CNN approach and only subtly help Commu-la with well timed cuts and the like? My guess is that they sense this is a crucial crossroads for Commu-la and that if she doesn't show substance and character strength tonight, she's cooked. So the ABC folks are gonna be much more openly Team Commu-la to make that appear to happen.
How much will we hear about each person's record?
I don't see ABC raising the skeletons in Commu-la's past. If anything about her flip-flopping on so many positions or her Senate voting record or her support of Minneapolis rioters is going to come out, it'll be up to Trump to raise those issues. Can he do that in an effective way and not let her off the hook?
Trump should have no problem defending his policies, so long as he doesn't meander into the weeds and starts talking about stuff that's not relevant (or launch personal attacks.) If Trump poses just one question to the Bimbo tonight, I hope it's "you say your values haven't changed, from before you became VP, what exactly are those values?"
How much will we hear about specifics of each person's policy proposals and plans?
Commu-la needed a week in seclusion to learn what her own Regime's policies have been, did she have time to come up with anything new that isn't being stolen from Trump? Probably not, just stuff like "not being burdened by the past" and "making America work for everyone", etc.
Trump just has to refer to his first term and avoid talking too much.
Then there are the fun topics that could lead anywhere.
Each candidate's choice of their running mate. Commu-la complicity in keeping Biden's mental state under wraps. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Afghan "withdrawal". The lawfare tactics used by her Regime against Trump. Hunter Biden and her possibly pardoning him if she is elected. Great stuff. Hope they have time to get into these things.
It ought to be a fun watch. Oh, one last question, how much in advance of the debate starting will Tubby, Too Lyin' and j-buff declare Commu-la the hands down winner? That could be anytime after this thread is posted up to the start of the event.
