President Donald Trump defended Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders at a campaign rally Tuesday night in a spat between the Vermont Senator and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, also a candidate for president, who has been dubbed "Pocahontas" by the president.
"Bernie said, and I don't believe this. I don't know him, I don't particularly like him, he's a nasty guy, but I don't believe he said this. It's not his deal, you have to know what people say. She said, right, that Bernie stated strongly that a woman cannot win for president," Trump said. "She said that Bernie said a woman can't win and I don't believe Bernie said that. I really don't. It's not the kind of thing he would say."
