I was a Cruz supporter. I am still a Cruz supporter. I wish we could get him on the supreme court, as I fear he will never be able to win the presidency.
With that said, I'm tremendously upbeat about how Trump has handled the past 4 to 6 weeks. He's been quick, forceful, and rational. All good traits.
But this nonsense about 3 million illegal votes and other things he's said in haste and were subsequently proven to at least be without any good evidence to back them up. He needs to stop.
He needs to simply respond with "Look, I thought about it and clearly 3 million seems to be too much. Is it zero (illegal votes)? Of course not. And even one is too many. We're going to investigate it, purge the rolls of dead and illegal voters and correct the situation. But 3 million illegal votes? No, I'd say I was wrong on that."
How can that response hurt him?
