Trump pleads not guilty. His lawyer pleads guilty on his behalf?

I can't locate the article, but Melania was reported to be angry at Trump for not hiring good (more expensive) lawyers. Was Trump's lawyer purposeful or incompetent?

I wonder if the trial will be televised? If so, the views should easily surpass the OJ Simpson trial.
