Team BWI isn't down in Jacksonville yet for the bowl, but I do have a few notes to pass along from the Twittersphere that have come out of a limited post-practice media availability today:
- Bob Shoop reportedly said he hasn't interviewed anywhere else, but maintains an interest in becoming - at some point - a head coach. In other words, Shoop is saying that he is highly unlikely to leave for a lateral move. Likes Penn State. But, that doesn't mean an opportunity can't arise out there for him (or Brent Pry, for that matter) that might still be on the horizon in this year's coaching carousel. Stay tuned.
- Today, Dec. 29, Austin Johnson says he hasn't made up his mind yes or no about the NFL. But, he has heard back from the NFL Draft advisory.
Here's the thing, guys. It stands to reason pretty heavily that Penn State, and the players who have a 'decision' to make, are going be thoughtful and time their announcements one way or the other so as to not be a distraction to the rest of the program. There will be organized press releases, at an agreed upon time. Just a hunch on how it's going to play out - if you're catching my drift.
