Two days before our game with OSU: top story on yahoo...

Just one reporter' view. His job is to get clicks on his article and obviously it's doing that. Long way to go yet

Sports is this.

We are now an afterthought.

Nothing wrong with the article. The author is hoping for any conference team to stand up to tOSU and Michigan. So far nobody, including PSU at Michigan, has been competitive. The point spreads this week tell you that these "rival" games (MSU v. Michigan and PSU v. tOSU) are mismatches. PSU as an afterthought? Getting pimp slapped in Ann Arbor can cause that.

Again, missing the point.

If PSU mattered this article would be written and released Monday.

Not Thursday before our game.

No, you are missing the point. We have done nothing lately to be relevant and to expect a competitive game this Saturday. 11-11 over two years (2000 and 2021) and getting crushed on national tv against the one team we played that is top ten caliber. The point of the article is that there is no evidence to suggest that any game other than Michigan - Ohio State matters this year for the conference. How can you argue that? Had we at least looked competitive against Michigan perhaps the article does not have the same tenor.

I will be rooting for you guys this Saturday.

GO BLUE (and Lions) - beat those cheating, low-life Buckeyes

So you missed my point.

Woosh.

National pundits don't seem to understand 2 things.
1. Penn State always plays OSU tough, regardless of records or rankings.
2. Home field can be a big advantage in college football. More so than in the NFL. Penn State is at home.

Ohio State would be crazy to take this game for granted. Hopefully they are not.

Finebaum thinks PSU is barely an upgrade in opponents for O$U. The guy rarely talks about PSU unless a caller brings it up and he is far from complementary. He clearly thinks Franklin is bad. Just another talking bald head who gives us no shot.

May be a blessing in disguise. —Removes most, if not all pressure from very talented athletes …..being under the radar or outright “dismissed” may turn out to be a good thing. — Might be all they need to make this competitive, and tip the scales. Playing at home will be big

Everyone else is.

Has it Franklin’s record against those two been brought up enough here? Why should Penn State be considered a serious roadblock when they haven’t been for most of the last decade. Takeoff the blinders

He's an SEC shill that doesn't like the fact that PSU is recruiting well in the south. He despises Seider.

He must really hate OSU
I think he respects OSU as the only big ten team worth talking about usually,(Michigan last year notwithstanding).

He’s a complete shill for the SEC. IIRC he’s a Tennessee grad who just jumps on the SEC front runners- Bama and Georgia recently.

He sees the Big Ten as a conference mostly filled with mediocre to awful teams- Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, Maryland, Rutgers, etc. That’s over 2/3 of the conference seen as garbage in his (and SEC folks) mind. Penn State is seen as a step higher but not much better.

Until Penn St starts to beat OsU, Michigan and MSU regularly and win some conference championships, he’ll never see them as any good, (especially compared to his precious SEC).

Just my two cents but it just seemed like yesterday there was all this “ fire harbaugh” stuff but last year being there best year since 04 erased that all and especially beating OSU which seemed like 20 years. Appears he could be sustaining that success but I need to see 3 seasons of 10+ wins before I consider them at that next level.

Well, let's beat them and change the story.

I think that's the thing--we don't think they are because it's still "Penn State". It's why a lesser team has a better shot at an upset in theory because we should see Ohio State's A game.

The article asks if "anyone can"--isn't this the perfect time because we might be the only one that could???

Tennessee was 10-13 over those two years, so I guess they shouldn’t get any discussion this year.
