Regime media is desperate to deny Trump any favorable headlines so is running with the Putin-rejects-ceasefire narrative even though it flies in the face of the apparent seismic breakthrough achieved by American negotiators this week.

In fact, Moscow is signaling very serious interest in the American proposal and has accepted it in principle. The questions it's raising are not deal-breakers but rather logical and obvious: how will the ceasefire be monitored and enforced? Will it be a prelude to a longer lasting agreement or merely an oppportunity for the sides to rest and resupply before renewing hostilities?

Putin met personally with the U.S. negotiator yesterday evening and this morning his spokesman says the Russian leader wants to talk to Trump. That's a very positive sign...but not one welcomed by the Dem-Mediacrats and "experts" whose Russia obsession led Ukraine by the nose into this insane conflict.

Meanwhile, on the home front, the Deputy Commandant of the Marine Corps yesterday told Congress that military aid to Ukraine is impacting Marine readiness. No shit, General. I guess you weren't allowed to say that while Senile Joe's puppeteers were running the show.

The Council of Foreign Relations yesterday reported that total American aid to Ukraine since the war began amounts to...wait for it...$175 blllion. Pretty staggering. It's not just the weapons we've flooded in. It's also non-military aid that's kept Ukraine afloat as a functioning country. You see, Senile Joe needed Ukraine afloat to fight the Dem-Media proxy war with Russia.

America's own citizens would have benefited from that $175 billion. People like the victims of the catastrophic Carolina floods last year. But the interests and welfare of the American people have never been a high priority for Dem-Media. God help us if these people ever get their hands on power again.
