heard this on NPR this morning. Kind of funny...they interviewed this woman who is a leading candidate and asked her "why having a woman is important". She stated, predictably, a different and diverse point of view.
Interestingly, nobody asked why she would assume a woman is "different". If a woman is different, why should they be considered the same when it comes to talent, ability and equal pay? Are women different or are they the same? Can't have it both ways.
At the same time, Kaitlin Jenner said that she has gotten more flack from being a conservative than changing her gender. What a kick in the nuts! So it would appear that conservatives are more tolerant of a transgender person then they are of a conservative person. Probably NOT what the press would lead you to believe (nor fish either).
