Spending a couple of days in State College, job and house shopping. Unlike my last visit when i was present when Windsor verballed at the nittany lion inn brunch. No verbals happen at Kelly's steak and seafood or happy valley brewing company. But for the boards entertainment here is quick food review. At Happy Valley brewing company I rocked 3 pints of hayday. Light but tasty ale. Started with the short rib nachos, great Cheddar mix cream sauce with melted cheddar,with whole and shredded jalapenos all covering corn chips, Then went with the hillbilly's hatchet, 20oz bone in bison steak with caramelized onion mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. Night two lead to a visit to Kelly's. Started with a couple of blue moons and a Guinness french onion soup. Then took on a 20oz porter house with mash potatoes and broccoli. For this unofficial food challenge i am give Happy Valley brew company the win. Kelly's has a giant cow giving it bonus points but in the end the beer and food combo gives me no choice but to take my eating skills to HVBC for my next visit.Not leaving to mid day tomorrow i am going to predict a WE ARE BETTER! this weekend this of course based on absolutely not inside information. WE ARE!
