I admire much of his private life after the Presidency. Lived his Christian ideals by building homes for Habitat and established the Carter Center which works toward the eradication of disease such as malaria around the globe.

I was not a fan of Jimmy Carter's policies as President, but he did not besmirch the office and when he left he handled himself as well as any former President ever has. He is an honorable man and I pray for him and his family.

I agree with the above sentiments. Jimmy Carter is unquestionably one of our greatest former presidents.
I'll give similar kudos to Bill Clinton. I didn't think much of his presidency but he has handled himself well after leaving office.

God Bless you Jimmy.. My wife has been battling lung cancer for 3 years.. Her last CT scan shows no mass of any kind. Truly a blessing.

Wow, that is terrific news. When it comes to cancer there are many sad endings, but there are also more and more stories of living with the disease and of total recovery. All the best to you and your wife.
