Ray mentions 2 guys who are pictured in sandyusky's book that we're giving kids cars and scholarship money from their own charities.

I think I know who but can anyone confirm the names?

Hi -IIRC, Dominic Toscano from Wayne/Devon is one. The other name escapes me.

O/T a bit - but I'd like to hear some more podcasts on the facts we know to date. I think podcasts like these a la Serial appeal to a more intelligent audience and allow folks to better digest complicated information. I've suggested so to Dr. Spanier - but not sure if the AG's office can subpoena such and use that in their (crappy) case.

Ray does a great job.

Interesting tidbit that I picked up is the state level involvement in the '98 case and then shortly there after Gricar disappears. Ray paints a distinct picture that something is going on at the state level to avoid looking at the Second Mile. This is outside of 2001 shower incident. It is very clear that State Politico's are protecting people at the Second Mile (Business People and Elected Officials)

It would be awesome if Serial picked up the case.

I have not had time to listen to the podcast yet, but I am confused by your "shortly thereafter" comment. Gricar did not disappear until 2005.

Sorry, that was my mistake. So many names, places and dates to keep track of. In listening to that part of the discussion, it just sounded as if the two events were closely related in time.

My error.

No problem. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I am still not convinced that there is no connection between these events.

Bump. Whether you are a fan of Ray's or not, he asks a lot of relevant questions that have yet to be answered.

Particularly why the University rolled over like it did. Which to date - other than the "for fear of bad publicity" line fed us, has made little sense. I did email it to our Deputy Attorney General and our Auditor General for review.

Bump again. Have listened 3x since it came out. MSM misses out on "Pulitzer-worthy" information/materials/stories all the time. It's a shame that alternative media outlets are the only ones that are willing to air out factual information any more.

I finally listened to this podcast. Much of it is not new to those who have followed this saga. One of the new things for me was Ray's discussion of the Lee guy that ran the Boalsburg Manor. Apparently there was a child molestation case involving Lee on Gricar's desk in 2005 at the time of his disappearance. It involved two kids visiting from California if I understood it correctly. When the new DA was appointed he relegated it to some minimal legal result and it was basically swept under the carpet. Ray had a term for it but I am too lazy to go back and listen. Of course we all know that Lee was later convicted in 2014 for child porn and perhaps other violations against minors.

I generally raise a wary eye to conspiracy theories, but I have always struggled with the idea that Sandusky, Lee and a disappearing DA all happened at approximately the same time in the same small place and it's just a coincidence. Maybe...

Ray if you are reading this...you mentioned that you may eventually take this aspect of your investigation to another level. I hope you do.

Why do I have a bad feeling that Mr. Boalsburg, Christopher Lee (he's a direct descendant of the Boal Family and I believe he was on Boalsburg town council at one point), and Bernie McCue are associates and have known each other in the State College Area over the last 5 decades??? There is something about these two, including being approximately the same age.....having lived in State College Area their entire adult life....etc...., that strikes me as being "two peas in a pod" and would not be surprised at all if they were social acquaintances at some point in their life.
