A lot of moving down in this one. Mostly due to a couple of guys announcing they wouldn't be announcing until after or during the 2015 season. Since there isn't much, I'll start with the good news. Pryts got his 4th star and is even higher on PSU than he was before. I expect Zembiec to eventually get a 4th star also and there are a few other prospects that we are in on that could get a 4th eventually (Ball, Brown, Niang, Dalton). Dalton moved up to Very Good Chance as momentum is gaining on him becoming the TE recruit for this class, which means I've accepted that Angeline is not a lock and he is now all the way down to In The Battle (Still think there is a chance, but with scholarships I don't see how we can take 2 TEs). Moved Dioubate down one because he isn't deciding before 2015 starts. Moved Johnson down because he said December was when he'll most likely decide. Also didn't name us in his top schools when someone put him on the slot this weekend, but the context of the question wasn't mentioned so maybe he was steered. With a bunch of guys deciding late winning games becomes even more important. Gary has continued to dominate anyone who gets in his way not named Menet. Got to get him on campus again and have to win games to be in it. It's beginning to look like in 2016 we are going all in on 4* WRs Diggs, Nixon, and Smothers and if we miss we miss, because we have already offered a lot of 2017 WRs. This is ok since we got 6 talented WRs in the last two classes. I like that Franklin is offering a bunch of Michigan prospects since Harbaugh thinks he can just walk into PA, MD, or NJ and cherry pick recruits.

Commit Watch:
4* OL Menet, 4* CB Hamlin, 4* S Pryts, 3* OLB Hudson, 3* OT Fries

Very Good Chance:
4* DL Dioubate, 4* DE Betiku, 4* DT Jordan, 3* TE Dalton, 3* DT Wheeler

In The Battle:
4* WR Nixon, 4* WR Diggs, 4* TE Angeline, 4* LB Ferns, 4* DE King, 4* DE Johnson, 4* OG Boudreaux, 4* OG Onwenu, 4* TE Farrell, 3* OLB Brown, 3* OT Ball, 3* DE Toney, 3* DT Panasiuk, 3* DT Colon, 3* OT Niang, 3* DT Kamara, 3* CB Gilbert, 3* JC DT Chavis, K Nordin

Work Left To Do:
5* DT Gary, 4* ATH Fuller, 4* OG Davis, 4* TE Upshur, 4* CB Rene, 3* OLB Hansford

Have To Get Really Lucky:
4* QB Haskins, 4* OT Williams, 4* DE Kareem, 4* WR Smothers, 4* WR Corley

My opinion on where we stand with recruits based on rumors, where the coaching staff has made serious effort, offers, tweets (sometimes) and gut feeling. My categories(and their meanings) are Commit Watch (changed from Locks as to not offend recruiting gods), Very good chance(we sit very well with the recruit and are either the leader or perceived leader), In the Battle(We have a good shot and are equal to others or just slightly behind), Work left to do(there is another perceived leader or little information known on recruits intentions), Have to get really lucky(small chance to little to none).

is Upshur down so low because PSU went all in on Angeline? And now that he seems less likely they are trying to re-coup? Just wondering why that would be.

He's just not that into us. We've tried with him. Said he was visiting like 8 times and canceled, mostly due to not having a ride, or at least that was the excuse given. We're in his top 12 but when asked to name top schools we never really get listed. I think his interest are just elsewhere for whatever reason. His quote on PSU, "I wouldn't say on the back burner but I'm just higher on other schools."

There was a time when I thought we would get both... but now probably neither.

I really think we will get a lot of talent to come in when we POST our 10-2 or 9-3 year :) Plus, that will set a strong foundation for 2017 !!

Curious as to why you say PSU has a very good chance with Betiku? From what I've seen on him the best I would say is "in the battle".

Lavar is his legal guardian and father figure. One trip here and he tries on that #11 jersey and he's in. I really think that connection will be too hard to beat.
