UPSET CITY

Wow nice win!

I checked Early on Wrestkestat and it said he lost earlier this year to DeAngelo from some RTC? I’m assuming it was an open tournament. I also assume it didn’t count on his record? Is Deangelo reshirting or is he a graduate resident athlete somewhere?

Not sure on DeAngelo (sp?) would have to do some digging. But I changed the name of the thread in hopes that other known upsets can just be posted here as well.

Other noteables:
133 Micky Phillipi dec Ethan Lizak
149 Brock Zacherl dec Grant Leeth 3-2
157 Eric Barone dec KeShawn Hayes 2-1
157 Griffin Parriot dec Tyler Berger 4-2

So, did a little digging, if I have the right guy, Mike D Angelo is redshirting this year ( his senior year ) for Princeton. Has some noteable wins including Early previously, Garret Hammond, Freddy Stroker, Griffin Parriott, and Brady Berge to name a few

Thanks. Was just digging myself! I knew the name sounded familiar and it was because he beat Berge last year.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen him wrestle but mist be pretty dang good

149 Finesilver dec. Thomsen 3-2, but it was rigged.

Any time a UNI wrestler loses I either say it was rigged (if it was truly an upset; this sort of was), or that the UNI wrestler who lost to a better opponent is playin' possum, and is just setting his opponent up for being beaten by the UNI wrestler in the future.

In one paragraph, I just explained to the world my MO for all of these years! Again, far too many take me far too seriously, so you could imagine how angry this made people for years. Even, curiously the "playin' possum" claim, which, clearly, I have to be joking. o_O

Proudly wearing the monicker "Homer" is something all on this forum can relate to!

149 Heil dec. Thomsen, 4-2 OT. RIGGED!

Actually, probably still injured, even though it was still rigged. He's been out until this weekend, and after losing twice, I'll bet that he's definitely injured.

165 Lewis dec. Steiert, 1-0. COMPLETELY RIGGED!

Actually, injuries too. Steiert forfeited out of his remaining matches.

White beats Massa. I don’t think it’s an upset but the tankers do. Personally this is the one kid that scared me against Cenzo
White was only 1-3 coming into the tournament. I read somewhere that has was ill early on and was not in proper shape.

Watched that match...White did nothing but counter and avoid. Not a big Massa fan but felt bad that stalling was not called.

Parriot must have a pace and engine that Berger can’t keep up with. Shocking since Berger is one of the all time greats in that category Lol.
