Joe should have done more
Believe it or not, but they could pin this on Joe.

Michigan offered its head coaching job to Joe Paterno in the late 60s or early 70s. Joe said no. He then told them to look at a coach at Miami Ohio. His name was Bo Schembechler. Bo would go on to mentor Larry Nassar and launch his career in sports medicine.

Without Joe, there is no Bo at the University of Michigan to enable the biggest pedotrician in NCAA history.

At this point, Michigan should just feel lucky to be playing college football.
