FB Recruiting USC WR Kyron Hudson commits to Penn State

Pros: Solid route runner, good against zone defenses, loves stop routes against soft zone which we need, isn't afraid to go over the middle, willing blocker

Cons: Made a few spectacular catches but too many drops/bobbles that he has to clean up--has great speed but it hasn't translated--not going to pick up YAC

Nice add

Drop grade in 2023 by PFF was a 61.3--he was improved in 2024 but let's not allow reality to get in the way
Drop grade in 2023 was worse than anyone on our team this year other than Denmark--but, yes, I'm wrong lol
His Drop grade was worse than Evans--EVANS

Drops are always opinion. See the Nebraska TD--many bobbles just on highlights

Drops are drops. Bobbles are the difference in a catch and YAC. I definitely haven't watched any film on him. I remembered the catch, but couldn't have told you it was him.

Interesting thing to me is this: 1st WR visit we got on campus. Wasn't let out of paywalls apparently. Staff wanted him, got him. 2 or 3 more WRs coming this week. I think Drew's return helps majorly.

And that's great--2024 wasn't the only year he played. In 2023, he was awful with the drops which is why I specifically stated bobbles as well because he improved. We should be prepared because people are going to mad when it happens here
Actually, they'll just still say I'm wrong so that's fine. The Drop Grade of 61.3 in 2023 says everything

Question how many drops did Hudson have in 2024

Since we're rolling with PFF all of a sudden even though I've been told repeatedly they're wrong...

Hudson had a grade of 68.2--significantly behind Trey Wallace which goes to what I said but I'm wrong lol

'24 is his most recent season completed. It why we disregard Allar's terrible games from '23 and discuss his much improved ones from '24.

I have no idea what he will do here, but I do know USC had 5 WRs we would have gladly taken from their roster when we played in October.

You obviously see something from '23 that's stuck with you. I have no argument for that. The grade is the grade as long as they don't change the parameters year to year. Much like Fleming, his stat line is not praise worthy, but he was still our 3rd best WR (probably? Behind Wallace and Evans, its tough to say much ado about nothing) and his arrival helped us out.

This is a HUGE get!!! He was one of USCs best receivers this season. Very explosive, great hands, and a very solid route runner. He’s better than anyone we currently have on our roster except maybe Trey. I’d say those two are neck and neck tho.

And the bobbles still exist which will lead to drops--it's still on the 24 film and their games even if the drops were a bigger factor in 2023
Allar still has some of the same issues he had in 2023 but he's underrated from 2023 by our fan base because they hear the term "elite QB" and think he's supposed to make every throw.
As I said, in the first post "nice add" but there's flaws with him including his hands (though people will point to the catch against LSU because they only watch highlights). He's not Duce Robinson but happy to have him.

My head hurts--if people would read we wouldn't have these issues
The drop grade proves my point as per always but again people want to pretend someone we added is perfect
You open your mouth and promptly put your foot in it. It happens repeatedly. Daily. You are the Coyote and we are the Roadrunner.

I wasn't wrong here but, yes, of course you think I'm wrong because you didn't read it.
Kind of like how you still think I'm wrong about Garrett Greene and WVU or that Lamar's the best QB in the world

Zero is defined as the symbol 0 or denoting the absence of all magnitude or quantity.

Apropos for the amount of brain cells someone has on here.
