Which is why it was funny when their fans quickly went from denying that he would ever leave them to acting like their program was too good for him.

I saw that and was going to post. There is a website called college football matrix which analyzes coaching effect. Essentially, when a team wins a game against perceived better talent (determined by recruiting stats), the coach gets a +1. Opposite when they lose.

It assigned Franklin a -3 at PSU, but gave him a +7 overall, which means he was +10 at Vandy. His time at Vandy would give hime one of the highest rankings/year. I have no doubt that trend will continue in the years to come
