Who’s had one?

I just got home about an hour ago. The fun is just beginning but overall the anticipation was the worse part.

Had one last year after our 3rd child, did you go under or stay awake?

It wasn't all Gumdrops for me, but I do understand it is a great recovery for most. Without going into great detail, I had some real discomfort even 2 months post opp, but it worked it's way out. Do yourself a major favor, go back at their suggestion and have the analysis to make sure you are shooting blanks. I know plenty if guys that rushed back to the field before they were sterile.

Mine was a great decision. No adverse side effects/complications. Few days of taking it easy/pain killers.

Lots of people do it this time of year so they can watch March Madness on a sick day from work. LOL

Second the suggestion to make sure to get swimmers (or lack thereof) tested to make sure you are good to go.

I had one in 1991 about a week after my daughter was born. Had three boys already, and I finally got my little girl. Never had any issues. Make sure you ice it down. I did get a knee replacement on March 17 and that is progressing quite nicely.

No anesthesia and no pain killers prescribed. The pain is manageable. My wife and I decided after our 3 child was born in September that our family is complete. I’m going to do my best to relax for a few days and use plenty of ice but with a 3 and a 2 year old and a 6 month old it won’t be easy.

If you're holding the 6-month remember they kick! Had that happen to me 38 years ago.

Worst part for me was the injection of the local anesthetic. It felt like my balls were filling up with liquid and about to explode. I was at work the next day.

You’re stronger than I am. Thankfully timorous Saturday and I am off.

Like an idiot I was thinking they would numb the area with a topical of something sort. You can imagine my surprise as I was laying there and heard the doctor say “just a little pinch” and then felt the needle. That makes my palms sweat just thinking about it.

#1- me too....I was talking Duke basketball with my guy- his daughter was a student there- and he didn't even stop talking!

#2- GREAT timing to be a couch potato with March Madness and baseball on TV

#3- never in my life did I think a frozen bag of peas would feel so good on my balls! Wash, rinse, repeat- til pain stops

Hang in there (pun intended!)
