VIDEO: NCAA Hype Video for the 2019 NCAA Wrestling Championships

Bo's iconic pin never gets old. I do feel slightly bad for MyMar. By all accounts he's a great young man. But the image of his epic downfall will be forever emblazoned in wrestling fans' memories and rebroadcast to the masses every March. Kind of like Mark Sanchez being remembered for the butt fumble, or like the “agony of defeat” ski crash guy who was featured in ABC’s Wide World of Sports intro for decades.

I empathized even at the time, because he is a good kid judging from a few interviews I heard. But I'd feel a lot worse for him if he hadn't been on the opposite end two years prior on the same stage, using Bo's momentum to roll through to eventually win his own title. I don't know whether last year's hurt outweighed how great 2016 must've felt, but Mark Sanchez and Bill Buckner don't have titles. Still, I imagine what stings worse for Martin than losing that match was simultaneously losing the team title, in Cleveland to boot.

How depressing do you think it will be to have a bunch of Penn State athletes win championships in Yinzer land?
