Seriously, neither my wife nor I have received a ballot for the BOT election. According to the CDT, "Alumni who participated in the nomination process will automatically receive ballots for the general election." Well, I participated in the nomination process, and I haven't received a ballot email. Nor has my wife. Could somebody provide a link to obtain a ballot? Thanks.

Check your spam folders - mine got caught up in spam earlier this week.

I've been perusing my SPAM folder every day.

I just don't think they've emailed the ballot yet

Probably because I read comic books like a giant grown man baby

How is this even possible? I got mine a couple of days ago (finally voted this morning). Do they send in batches? Why not all at once?

Preferred alumni get their ballots first. Everyone else gets waitlisted. Those on the waitlist only get a ballot if a preferred alumnus declines their invitation to vote.

If they determine the preferred alumni based on what and how they post on BWI, I'm never gonna get a ballot!

(Kidding. I did, and I voted).

This is a really good question. I talked with some techs at VoteNet a year ago and they said with a mailing list the size of the BOT vote they have to roll it out over about 72 hours or they can crash servers on the receiving end. Also there is no rhyme or reason for who goes first.

Everyone should check their SPAM folders because for some reason, Penn State hasn't figured out how to present their emails with legitimate SPF, DKIM, and DMARC coding. A correctly coded email is like a FedEx Overnight envelope arriving addressed directly to you with a verified return address and a sender with a good reputation. You're happy to open it.

Penn State emails are the equivalent of an unmarked brown paper package with no return address and your name misspelled. They officially fall into the "Unreputable Sender" category.

You can also request a ballot here: https://trustees.psu.edu/2018election/index.html

Mine was in my spam folder too. A letter from the college of engineering announcing a death was not. Make of that what you will.
