We prefer tight ends who throw flea flickers to quarterbacks on failed 2 point conversions against mid MAC level defenses. Sorry, hard passI thought so.

Who would ever invite him to any party? You must be fun at parties.
Interesting from Napa CA to Athens GA.He played his high school ball for Napa High School (yeah, THAT Napa). He was All Everything (consensus 4 star and 5 star in some polls), and had the physical tools to go with it. 6-4, 230 as a high school senior, and fast. I believe he runs the forty in the mid 4.4's. He was a second team All American at TE as a true freshman.
I'm a big Lions fan, but I have to admit that I thought it was pretty funny. You must be fun at parties.
Napa High School is in fact public. Like some of the other local high schools (St. Helena High School, Vintage High School, Justin-Siena High School), Napa High School has a student body with widely divergent socioeconomic backgrounds. (e.g., kids of well heeled vineyard owners attending school along with kids of field workers).Interesting from Napa CA to Athens GA.
He must have totally dominated in HS as I can't imagine local high schools in Napa and surrounding areas being particularly strong but maybe he went to a private school where they played competition from all over.
He probably was one of very few Div 1 schollies from that school district yet alone to a program like UGA. Good for him.Napa High School is in fact public. You are right on the money in terms of the quality of competition. These are largely small schools, and this kid stood out like a man among boys. He did not even play his final year of high school (the first pandemic year of 2020), but his teammates nonetheless voted him team MVP.
We were interested; he wasn't interested enough.
Yeah, Bowers visited in March 2020, according to Rivals. Not sure if it was an OV or not. SO there was some interest on his part but a real long shot from Napa to Happy Valley. He took an unofficial visit to Penn State but was not a commit.
Ordinarily I would agree but he did end up in Athens. Not exactly close to Napa so he obviously was willing to go a distance for college. I guess the weather is better and the program is just better. He clearly made the right choice, he has a natty meanwhile our TEs were one of the biggest disappointments this year.Yeah, Bowers visited in March 2020, according to Rivals.
