If Hack can hit the passes under 10 yards we will be fine. In particular the WR screen and the RB screen. First, they play the BBDB style of defense we saw from Bradley meaning they give a nice cushion, thus opening up the WR screen for a nice little pop each time. Also, they are pretty aggressive with the front four and blitz packages, opening up the RB screen. It might be a dink and dunk type of day from the passing offense, but the short underneath stuff should help Hack in terms of getting first downs and staying on schedule.
Against the Run, they got chewed up by Iowa. The potential is there if we can get to the corner. Obviously, I think they are susceptible to sweeps, stretches, traps, counters, etc.
Offensively, it'll probably be a little workman like with short passes and runs trying to get leverage.
From what I saw from Thorson, he is not, NOT, a dual threat QB, but rather a pocket passer who can also run the ball. I'd expect the zone blitz things we do to be very effective at stopping their run game and getting to the QB.
I know it would be considered an upset if we win, but I think it can be done. 21-13 PSU!
