Jeremy Leman ripped PSU for having all the great skill position players one could want. But ripped the offensive line for not getting it done.
Wanndstadt talks about PSU having a great season and gave props to Franklin for holding the team together when they could have folded after the MSU loss with the big 10 title all but out.

Actually a good/fair assessment

Holding the team together cuz they beat Rutgers and Nebraska at home and beat Maryland as 23 point faves. Cmon, I guess the team could have quit and still won those 3 games by double digits.

The disappointment in this season is in who did we beat ?
Michigan, Northwestern , a 6-6 Iowa team and 7 Akrons.
The lower end of the BIG was very weak.

The OLine and DLine just didn’t get it done against OSU & MSU. That said, 10-2 and Top 10 is damn good.
I have to constantly fight the urge to go back to posts I made during and after early season games about our o line sucking or prior to the season saying that we need to recruit more true O tackles and wardaddy type d linemen. We will never win a MNC unless we get these pieces in place.

Lehman also pointed out that Penn State's two losses were by a mere four points while OSU's two losses were double digit. One to Iowa.
A loss is a loss is a loss weather you lose by 4 or 40.

Sometimes when you lose by alot its a wake up call.
Losing by a few can put fools gold in ones head.

Have you looked at the Big 12 where only the top three teams have less and 3 losses....or the ACC where only 2 teams in the entire conference have less than three losses...until you do then you can't even say anything about the BIG10

And your point is what ? It doesn't change the fact that 4 of our BIG wins were against Rutgers, Indiana, Maryland & Nebraska

Lehman is probably right but did he shout it at the TV?
I have never seen 2 more clueless people that don't understand how microphones work. SMH

So what. That's who was on the schedule. What, should we put an asterisk beside those games? Geesh, get over yourself. We lost 2 tough games. We're a top 10 team that's won 10 games back to back and is going to a nice bowl game. And we're a darn good team, despite what some of you handnwringing fans want to claim. And the program is on a serious upwards trajectory. Man, if you're not enjoying this find another hobby.

+1. Alabama lost to THE ONLY good team they played, ND lost to 3 out of the 4 good teams they play, Wiscy, well we'll see how sat. turns out.
You can pretty much do this for EVERY TEAM that isn't 12-0.
Some people are just miserable.

Actually you just said our BIG wins were Iowa, Northwestern, Michigan, and 7 Akrons....so which are our BIG wins? Who were Bama's BIG wins? Clemson has 1 big win, Wisconsin has 0 big wins, Where is Georgia's Big win? Where is Miami's big win? That same Iowa team is the team that beat the snot out of OSU, Maryland beat Texas. The only teams with multiple quality wins are Oklahoma and Auburn.

So if you're trying to say PSU sucks I say you're ignorant as to what other teams actually are as well because comparatively speaking most schedules are very very similar.

Oh yeah, SEC sucks too once you get past the "looks" of Bama, Gerogia, and Auburn.

Where did I say that PSU sucks ? I just stated what was my disappointment of the season.

This says it all. Enjoy...

I'm probably the pot calling the kettle black. I've been away from the area for 40 yrs but when I'm back it doesn't take long to get right back into the lingo. Anyway, a few years ago I was giving a presentation to a Denver group of retired mining professionals. The presentation was about a rather interesting uranium project. After I had finished, I asked for questions. The first question? "What part of Pittsburgh are you from?" I guess you can't totally lose it:(

That is simply not true. Certainly not at the college level. OSU should have beat Iowa by a score or 2, not lose by 31. That's not any ole loss.

Don't fight it. Let your Freak Flag fly!!

Fortunately, for you, not everyone forgets your “intellectually fungible” takes.

Like your adamant insistence that Penn State had to recruit more of those big 300+ pound, “war-daddy” defensive tackles – like Alabama and Auburn do, if they were ever to compete with the Big Boys. A stance that you, apparently, still cling to.

Of course, the fact that Penn State has 6 scholarship defensive tackles that tip the scales at over 300 pounds, while both Alabama and Auburn have no more than 5, is somehow beyond your “analysis”. (BTW - Ohio State, the northern home of your War-Daddies, has TWO). And if you are looking for true "Offensive tackle bodies" - 6'6"+/300+lb guys - Penn State has 5 of them on scholarship. Alabama has 4, Auburn 3 (and OSU has 6)

A little helpful hint:
When you find yourself using the same “Bro” terms employed by the likes of the ESPN analysts – terms like war-daddy (LMAO) - as part of your take, you might want to stop yourself right there and reconsider.
Confusing people with facts again? We're wise to your tricks.;)

A fixated dolt is a fixated dolt, is a, well, even some un-myopic friend of yours might guess a dumb ass.
