I had the pleasure of watching the game with my father in law again yesterday. Last weekend I was out in Arizona to watch his 1975 unbeaten sun devils get honored.

Watching him hold the fiesta bowl trophy with Mike Haynes ( co captains ) gave me chills !
Meeting Al Harris d lineman that played with the bears was cool. Meeting another guy from that team Bob H who just got put into college HOF was great as well. It was really cool hearing these guys talk highly about my father in law.

We all know centers are pretty smart......I trust his opinion when it comes to some stuff relating to football.

He is absolutely convinced that these lineman are just not D1 material. And also that our O-Line coach needs to simplify things. He was screaming out simple stuff they where not doing, he stated many times that these kids just don't know how to block.

He also said its hard to put full blame on anything in particular including the coach when you don't know what's going on behind the doors. Are coaches teaching them the right stuff and then the players are not executing ? Is herb hand just a bad coach ? Are these kids just not D1 material ? He thinks it's a combo of all 3.

He also said this is the worst o line he has ever seen play on this level ever. He watched lots of D2 football because his son played there and he said even on that level he has never seen an o-line that lost.

He said you will never gain any rhythm play calling wise when your o line is this bad.
It starts up front ! We don't have a front.

These are just kids for most part and I love our kids ! They are trying ! Sanctions really hurt is up front !
