There's a little rumbling on twitter started by Shane Simmons. Shane twitted, WE ARE BETTER!!! There is another subsequent post by Sean Fitz stating #Penn State getting better this weekend? Something is going on, but nothing official yet. Nothing from James Franklin. Here's hoping for Michael Menet.

Shane Simmons beat James Franklin to the punch. I don't believe I have ever seen a better ambassador than Shane Simmons. This guy is Penn State
 
Rumors are Danny Dalton. He did change his twitter background to Beaver Stadium.
 
No name yet, everybody is keeping close tot the vest. Does anybody want to make an educated guess on who it can be? I still say it's Michael Menet
 
Dalton is going to be a great pickup . He is a 4 star on 247 and Cristobal was his recruiter for Bama. 6'5 / 230 and a big time athlete

He's actually a 3star everywhere, at least today, but has offers from Bama, Nebraska, and Arkansas.

Can't imagine we take more than one tight end this time around, so I guess no Angeline.

I can image CJF taking 2 TE's in the 2016 class. Carter will be gone after this coming year, and Wilkerson may leave as well. That will leave only Breneman, who may go to NFL after 2017, and Gesicki for 2016, as well as Bowers and Holland (if he does not play DE) who will be RS freshman.

We need 2 TE's in the 2016 class. I think we may see the 2nd TE commit soon, as the next one will be the final one in the 2016 class and there are some, including Angeline, that may want to make sure they are in PSU's 2016 class....

I'd love to send Donovan down to Houston for a week. Get some ideas from OB on how to use his 2TE package. Worked great with the Pats and with us.

Right, Bowers definitely sound like he stays at TE, but Holland was originally recruited as a DE so who knows where he ends up playing. He looks like a thicker built kid that could play DE or even end up as a DT.

Yea, the cupboard is not bare at TE, but with the two talented PA TE's this year, I would not be surprised to see another TE in the 2016 class. Angeline is looking at all his options. We'll see.....

umm no ....he's a 4 star on 247.......you are looking at his composite rating on their site

What the difference? what is composite rating? I always see 2 types of rating on 247, but don't understand what's the difference.. thx.

the composite is just that.....it is an average of all of the major recruiting services. If you look at their site the top number is 3 stars (composite) , the bottom number is 4 stars (247 ranking) . The way this kids recruiting has heated up over the last few months , it would not be surprising to see rivals and scout follow suit before all is said and done. Either way , a much needed win for the good guys.
 
Thanks you Jake for the explanation. The ironic thing about the WE ARE...BETTER is that Shane Simmons send a tweet about 45minutes before James Franklin. Shane is a Machine and great ambassador to PSU
 
Angeline is not a 4 star on some sites. The kid from Phila seems to be top dog. He does not seem to be a PSU lean. We may take two. The kid from Ohio ?
 
"We Are Very Much Better"....Fantastic get and a Penn State kid all the way. He said Franklin was at daycare with his daughters, when he called to commit, and Coach Franklin dropped the phone and started screaming, then put his daughters on to congratulate and welcome him to Penn State.

Ok, got the 247 explanation. Thanks.

Insofar as Holland, he was being recruited by most teams primarily as a DE, but later in the process he started telling teams he wanted to be a tight end, at least initially. When he did that a few teams backed off on him, but not us. Anyhow, that is what I recall. I don't know where he ends up in 2 years.
 
You left yourself wide open there, but since it's Sunday I will refrain from my knee-jerk response.
