Just finished watching the third and final episode. A 40 minute long recruiting video for Penn State! Other programs can't be too happy with this. I also felt this episode was much better than the first two.

Yep. Just finished watching episode 3, too. This was the best one. Good energy. Great highlights. Solid commentary. I don't think it broke any new ground, but, yea, if I watched that as a top high school wrestler or a possible transfer, there would only be one place I would want to go.

Looking back over the trilogy of episodes, it would have been good to see (more) mention of some of the other guys, especially Nico, Matt Brown, Molinaro, MacIntosh, and Quentin Wright, but also perhaps guys like James English, Jimmy Guilbon, and Jordan Conaway, who played key roles in the dynasty decade.
This is exactly what I was thinking. Tan Tom probably spent 2 extra sessions in the tanning bed last night.
It wasn't once. It wasn't twice. Multiple times Mike Mal and CP stressed every program gets top 10 recruits. But somehow Cael turns them into multi-time NCAA finalists and champs. Penn State doesn't practice the long hours that other teams do, but somehow Penn State wrestlers continually gas other wrestlers. I think they should just post this on youtube for all recruits to see.
Despite the fact Cael gives them no access whatsoever, they can't help but marvel at what he's doing and blow it up to the extent they can.
Maybe his lack of access is one of the reasons for their interest? The proverbial beautiful girl who won't give you the time of the day which only makes you like her even more . . .
After criticizing Flo for the first two episodes, I’ll say the third episode was significantly better than the previous two episodes. Enjoyed Mike Mal and some other flo guys admitting to underestimating several Psu wrestlers their freshman year.

I wish they would have spent some time on the next generation...Brooks, RBY, Starocci, Kerkvlient, Lee, etc. Reload baby!! Would have made the episode too long though. They should have made and episode 4!
Iowa fans watching it cannot be happy about the near the end where the Flo guys more or less said it wasn't impossible PSU would win this year. Mike Mal even said well they didn't lose. David Bray said it's so unlikely but the list of unlikely things Cael has pulled off is just insane.
Last year after we finished 4th at Big Tens then NCAAs was cancelled. The Flo guys were speculating how despite how much of a favorite Iowa was on paper, PSU winning is something Cael could manage to pull off probably. Basically adding to the PSU hype that winning NCAAs after looking pedestrian at Big Tens is Cael's MO.
They also reminded everyone that Cassar and Berge were out which is why PSU was in the hole in the first place. As Mike Mal said "Well they didn't lose"
In terms of 2021, I think Flo didn't want to hype up the next crop of PSU wrestlers before they even put on a PSU singlet but I'm glad they didn't. Truthfully, I like our place right now, projected to finish 5th in a tournament setting and people think Cael has to "rebuild"
If history says anything, it doesn't matter if PSU's team is filled with a bunch of freshman ranked in the teens right now, everyone should be on notice at NCAAs.
