Was there ever a great PSU team without a great running back?
Even the 2005 group where Michael Robinson was the driving offensive force had a very good back in Tony Hunt. The 1999 group could have been great, but things went sour when Larry Johnson was hurt in the Minny game just when he was taking it over and things went south.
Nothing against the last few year's guys who did what they could, I have always thought that our record could have been much better with a back who made things happen.
Maybe now we have one. Don't tell me he's just a freshman. I remember when some of the great ones were freshmen (and going really back, when they were sophomores when freshmen couldn't play) you could just tell. A little to early to tell this time around so far, but think about it. When is the last time we had a guy who had that look to him?
