But the quick reads of JT Barrett together with Elliot and BMiller simply offered three outstanding players - too many on the field at one time for us to handle.
Our LBers are good but still learning. Our DBs are good but still learning.
This is not a great Team Defense yet but it is building for the future. And that future will arrive sooner or later, perhaps even later this season.
With a healthy SB, the O finally has something to build on, and around. and perhaps can find its identity , at long last.
