We WILL see another LB in the 2016 class.

Absolutely. The only question is will he have a .95 rating, an .88 rating, or an .86 rating.
After next year we'll have:
3* Cabinda
3* Reeder
4* Cooper
3* Givens
4* Farmer
4* Brown
3* Toney
That's better than we've been through the sanctions but still a little short of star power IMO. That's why Kelly (and possibly) Ferns are big losses. It would also be nice to finally get a kid from Ohio. OSU must have at least eight 4* & 5* LBs on their roster. I'd like to grab one.
Givens is not a LB. He's currently a DE and growing bigger. He may eventually play DT.
Brown is a LB to start, but it looks like 50/50 that he eventually moves to DE.
And although many of our MLB's started as OLB's, Reeder looks to be being groomed as a MLB.
Cabinda was not that highly rated, as by 247 he was way down the NJ list. But good job by the staff in finding him as he looks like a real player.
But bottom line is we need 1 or 2 more LB's in the 2016 class, and if we don't get them CJF will definitely be making LB a top priority in the 2017 class, which looks to be limited in overall numbers.
Good catch. Doubt he plays this year, given the freshmen that redshirted last year and the contribution that they will be making to upgrade special teams. But Bowen will hopefully be getting onto the LB depth chart and onto the field in 2016.
But I still believe that CJF WILL bring in another LB in the 2016 class. Ferns, Hansford, Hudson, or a late offer.....

We have a number of 4 star LBs that never really very good. I think we are fine at LB but will need to bring in two top ones next year. Amazing to me how well Franklin as addressed all positions. The rest of this year's class should be best athlete available regardless of position.
I'd rather have a LB and DT instead of another WR but I'd take all three (Ferns, Dioubate. & Nixon). Doesn't sound good for Ferns though.
I think we may see Hudson commit in the next few weeks. With Kelly leaving there is room for another OLB and rumors that the commits at the cook out took out Hudson's scholarship if true may now have been muted and Hudson may be back in play. We'll see.....
But I agree with you that Nixon, Dioubate and one or two LB's would be a sweet finish to the class. But another DB is likely as well as the staff seems to be pushing for some DB's, Hamlin and a couple of Safety's, to get another DB...
