Last Saturday, he dealt with El Niño and Atlantic AMO trends. They temporarily impact 2015 air temps and some arctic melting.

He addresses alarmist claims that have been grossly wrong and why the historical trends have been good predictors of events in California and Texas, for example. Ie... It's not "unprecedented" but part of natural processes we've seen before.

However, some other trends may significantly alter these temporary trends.
  • The Pacific PDO Cool Phase may extend for some 20 to 30 years, cooling air temps.
  • The Atlantic AMO may be turning to its many decades cool phase, away from its long warm phase that impacted air temps and Arctic ice melting.
  • Plus a follow up to this year's El Niño may be a substantial cooling La Niña.
