To be on a somewhat serious, ironic note about this. This may end up being a case where the people it hurts most are the people it was alleged to help out.

I've heard that schools in several cities today announced that they would be closed on Wednesday to support this "cause." This leaves parents, mostly moms, who weren't interested or who couldn't afford to join their rich, white, privileged sisters in the picket lines scrambling to find last minute child care. I'm sure though, that's nothing compared to being an oppressed staff member in a university gender studies department.
