Well, we're ranked again

LOL at Texas moving into the polls after a loss, albeit to Alabama. Has that ever happened before?

How precisely can anyone rank aTm after to losing to Unranked App State??? When you're most compelling reason for ranking a team that losses to an unranked team @home is because they were highly ranked last week... and you've dropped them 20 places..... it's a bit of a joke. Having them absurdly mis-ranked last week is not a rational for absurdly ranking them this week.

Anyone watching the Pitt tenn game yesterday has to be scratching their head how Tenn moves up 9 spots. They’re not good.

Most people that watched the game know that the officials literally gave the game to Bama with a 10 point swing in the second half due to some of the most embarrassing calls made this decade.

Our strength of schedule is great. We win it all takes care of itself. Purdue will be eventually seen as a very good win. Win this week and advance. Michigan is very very good. Minnesota is good. Osu is osu. Md isn’t terrible. Just win baby

And Kentucky moved up from 20 to 9 for beating an overrated team with a horrible QB.

That one is truly laughable (as was Tenn huge move in both polls) - so UF is moved from Unranked to #12 on the strength of beating an a vastly over-rated #6 Utah.... and Utah is dropped 7 to #13. Now Tenn is moved up 9 places and Unranked to #15 and #16 in the polls on the strength of beating the #17/#14 team. Previously Unranked UF is dropped 6 places for demonstrating that they never should have been ranked that high in the first place... and Utah is dropped a spot for beating Southern Utah University (whoever they are) 65-0... or how about aTm being ranked after losing to App State? Such that you have 7 (1-1) teams in the top 25 with Utah at 14 in front of 5 no-loss teams despite losing to a team that also has a loss???

FL QB was 11 for 30 before their last drive. Ended up at 40%. The interesting part about Texas moving up is that they lost their starting QB for 4-6 weeks.

After 2 weeks in the books, these rankings are highly suspect, as usual. Especially when overrated teams play each other. Like Pitt vs Tenn. Ratings at this point are just marketing tools for the tv stations.

It's an exercise in anchoring. Over-rated team A loses to team B transferring that over-rating.

Yeah I watched the last 3 quarters of the Kentucky/Florida game. Some people like to complain about Franklin but what Napier did to the Florida QB in the second half was atrocious Kid was starting his 3rd game and after he threw the pick six, Napier turtled up and called runs on 1sr and 2nd down which put him in 3rd and long repeatedly. Even went for it on 4th down on his side of midfield with about 7 minutes left in a 7 point game with a predictable outcome. Kept showing the kid on the sidelines and you could tell his confidence was shot—looked like a deer in headlights.

Napier definitely didn't do the kid any favors for sure after the pick 6. He went as vanilla as you can get and cost them any chance of a win with poor play calling.
