Thoughts:
Deepest Penn State team we have had
Most athletic Penn State team we have had
Could be scary good defensively
Brockington is a much better finisher/scorer around the rim than Reaves was. He’s smooth. An athletic freak for sure.
Myreon Jones is improved, scorer mentality.
Seth Lundy would be starting on most Penn State teams. He’s going to be a really nice player. Built like a senior. Nice stroke from 3, was really impressed with him in the minutes he played. He looked like a 4 star recruit.
Wheeler may not have a peer in the country at guard in terms of being disruptive defensively. Hit a couple 3’s yesterday which will help keep defenses honest.
Curtis Jones will give this team experienced depth and is an additional perimeter scorer.
Lamar barely broke a sweat and was basically a non factor in the second half and Penn State rolled.
Mike is back athletically, the guards missed some chances to hit him for easy baskets.
Poor shooting night for Dread, but every time he shoots I think it’s going in. Not worried about him.
The team needs to improve its foul shooting. That was one thing I was concerned with yesterday. It has to get better than yesterday.
Going to be a fun season.
