I was fortunate enough to knock off a night game at LSU and a game in Tallahassee last year and finally catch a foul ball, this year I'm hoping to hit:

A game at Clemson
A game at Virginia Tech
The Phillies new ball park - I've been to Veterans Stadium
The Reds new ball park - I've been to Riverfront Stadium
Perhaps a Tigers game in Detroit

Along with my future sports bucket list locations:
The Red River shootout
The Orange Bowl
The Sugar Bowl
The Rose Bowl
St. Andrews
Pebble Beach
A game at Nebraska
A game at Wisconsin
A baseball game in St. Louis
A baseball game in Milwaukee
Lambeau Field
A game at Dodger Stadium

What are some of yours?

Add Augusta to that list if you have not already been there. That was my number one golf related bucket list item. My top bucket list item now is to watch Penn State play in a national championship. Hopefully I cross that off the list soon.

Been to an Orange, Fiesta and Rose Bowl, so Sugar and Cotton are on my bucket list. Also want to make Fenway and Wrigley some day.

A football game at West Point. For me, that's it. I may try to get there this fall, but more likely next year.
After reflection, I will add the Winter Olympics.

Does running with the Bulls in Pamplona count? I always wanted to do that. My wife thinks I am an idiot but not for that, it's just her general opinion of me developed over the several decades we have know each other.

Augusta most certainly should be on any golfer's list. I saw practice rounds there in 2005 and 2008 and a Thursday round in 2013 all thanks to their ticket lottery.

The Masters just sent out the ticket lottery info for 2018 last week. Gotta get lucky one of these years. Did see the final round in 2005 as a long time friend has had two tickets for about 30 years.

Augusta-Final Round

Monaco Grand Prix-from the stern of my Palmer Johnson 170 SportsYacht

Penn State football championship-wherever that may be.

FIFA World Cup Final Match

Track and Field at Summer Olympics

In the Summer of 81, I was on a Med Cruise with USS Forestal. I was only a young enlisted puke but some of the younger officers on our staff liked to BS with me because I loved college football. Our Public Affairs Officer went to USC and he lined us up with tickets to the Grand Prix in Monaco. A couple of weeks before our port visit there Sadat was assassinated and they made our carrier sit in the East Med for 90 days and cancelled our port visit there. Still pisses me off. We were in Venice when we found out about 4-5 hours into our visit there and I was in St. Marks Square when we got recalled to the ship. Damn!

1971 I was on the high school football team and they took us to see West Virginia at Army at West Point. The experience of seeing a game there was great, but after the game, they put us back on the bus and the next thing we knew, we were looking at the skyline of Manhattan. The coaches walked down the bus giving us a couple 20's, the bus pulled into the Port Authority, and we were told to be back there at 11 or we could find our own way back to Wilkes-Barre. Legal drinking age in New York was 18 at the time so all the seniors looked for the first bar out from the Port Authority. The rest of us got to wander around Times Square on a Saturday night in late October. Icing on an already great cake.

I would eventually like to see a Major League Baseball game in every stadium. I would like to add a least one new ball park a year until I get there. Still a long way to go......

MAYBE kyacking out in McCovey's Cove in San Francisco?

I've been to that park, one of the best. Could you count an activity that takes place outside the park? That's a tough one.

I'm at about 20 without even trying, and will hit 1-2 more this summer. I only have two left within driving distance, and very few that I could hit on a work trip. There are going to be a couple (Arizona, Rangers, Twins) that are going to require dedicated trips.

What are your thoughts on the following. I saw a World baseball classic game in a stadium this summer... would you count it? Sure it's not like seeing the home team play, but I've experienced the stadium and a lot of what a MLB game would be like in that park. Second, new stadiums... I went to old yankee stadium and new, so no issue there. But Atlanta is building a new park... do I have to visit that too?

Wimbledon Final, Australian Open, Tour de France (should have went when I lived in Germany - dammit!), Monte Carlo....

Wrigley Field is on my list (I've done Fenway a few times), though I have been to New Comiskey. I'd like to get to all of the Big 10 stadia. I have 7 checked off (UM, Nebraska, Northwestern, tOSU, us, Purdue, Wisconsin) and plan on Iowa this year. I've never been to the Linc or Wells Fargo either.

I have been to the All Star Game in baseball, hockey, and MLS. I've been to a couple Stanley Cup playoff games and an NLDS game. Two MLS Cup finals and a US Open Cup final. One European Cup semifinal (pre Champions League). The Memorial final round, a Rose Bowl, and a couple World Cup games.

Just my opinion, but a game in a MLB stadium played by professionals counts as a stadium visit.

New stadiums are a new visit. I saw a few Orioles games in Memorial Stadium but it pales in comparison to Camden Yards. A la comparing Three Rivers Stadium to PNC Park. Hence, I'm seeking to visit Cincy and Philly as I went to Riverfront Stadium and the Vet.

Like that last one rudedude! I intend to be at the FIRST match at the new WHL (or whatever it will called) in August, 2018!

It's entirely up to you. It's not like there are any rules to this. Personally, I want to see the home team play in their current stadium. I saw a concert at Citi Field but still haven't been there for a Mets game. I can get there in under an hour, so I am not too concerned about getting back there at some point.

I saw a couple of Pirates games at Three Rivers while I was a student. I wouldn't have checked them off the list until I saw a game at PNC. I took that trip last summer and was glad I did. Great park, and I really liked the city.

Great venue.
A number of years ago now, we were doing business with a company that had a suite at the stadium. It was situated such that you could look into Willie Mays' suite beside it, which not surprisingly had "Say Hey!" on the door. During the game, we could see Willie there with, among others, Laurence Fishburne and Vida Blue, who course was a top notch pitcher for the Oakland A's across the Bay once upon a time.

Obviously it's my call, I was just trying to get your opinion. I've seen concerts in ball parks, and wouldn't dream of counting them. (Although being on the field at Wrigly and Fenway for a concert was pretty damn awesome!) But seeing something like the world baseball classic I think is different. I'm in it to see the parks, not the teams. I've already seen every MLB team play.

The Mets park was surprisingly nice, much better than new Yankee Stadium. PNC park is also one of the best out there.

Surprised CBB fans didn't mention any of the "ABC" venues: Allen Fieldhouse, (The) Bryce Jordan Center or Cameron Indoor Arena.

Fenway park
Fenway is nice...Wrigley is nicer IMO as far as the old stadiums are concerned (though uncomfortable - at 6'2", I'm WAY too tall for some of the seats in those old venues).

As for my list:
- Tailgate & game in all of the conferences (specific venues preferred - LSU, Texas, UW, Boise St., Georgia, etc.).
- Winter Olympics (especially a medal round hockey game)
- Rivalry NHL game in Canada (Toronto/Montreal, etc.)
- World Cup game
- Kentucky Derby
- Game 7 of the WS or Stanley Cup finals (preferably featuring the Pirates or the Penguins)

I want to see the TT. The most dangerous event in the world ..... over 270 participant deaths since the race started. These guys are nuts ...

Enjoy:

While I think both are great, I personally prefer Fenway slightly more. Maybe it's the green monster, or the area just around the park, not really sure. It probably also has something to do with the fact that I love visiting Boston and hate visiting Chicago.
