Combination of getting caught with reefer/hanging out with the wrong crowd I'm guessing? If so, that is a big no-no here at PSU, and although he would've been a clear cut starter and top lock down defender for us, that is a good reason for Chambers to part ways with him. Anyone know the exact reason he got kicked off the team?

We remain, the only school that never ever fires a coach, and never ever kicks a kid off of a team. Everyone who has ever played, or coached here, has either left for personal reasons, or simply resigned.

At just about any other program, this would be known by now, and everyone would move on.
No it wouldn't. You don't reveal what the kid did. I don't know of any program that reveals what a kid is removed for unless it is revealed in the media.

His playing time was about to be limited with Josh Reaves arriving. Chambers has had a number of kids leave just after school was wrapping-up. I suspect he sits down with them and assesses where they're at and he tells some of them the reality of the situation. I'm purely speculating, but the math adds up.
