never heard any explanation for his absence. Don't know where he stands, but if Hack gets hurt we are in deep trouble.b

He was probably just banged up. He was with Hack and Stevens at the autograph session. A lot of guys didn't play...Godwin, Wartman, Breneman, Thomas.

Next to OL, he was probably the player most everyone wanted to see. It would be a disaster if Hack got hurt - from what I saw of Stephens. Not sure how much better McSorley is than Stephens.

Don't forget that Stephens should still be finishing up high school

right now. It's not a surprise that he isn't ready, and it's not a knock on him, either.

But yeah, McSorely is hopefully a whole lot better than he is, at this point.

What does McSorley's availability in April's BW game have to do with his availability in the Fall? He was throwing the football in pregame. Rumor is he had an illness not an injury.

Oh and lay off Stevens the kid would still be high school if he didn't enroll Early. He was QB'ing with 2nd and 3rd stringers against one of the best D's in the country.

Ditto.............. NJPSU! Plus, I actually believe Stevens did OK. Given the Fact, that should still be in High-School, as we speak!

I thought Stephens looked pretty good for a true freshman

A few nice throws and a few bad throws but he showed good pocket presence and he was quick to see running lanes.

Stevens will be fine. I don't think there are a lot of experienced college QBs who are going to look good when being harassed by PSU's defensive front. The kid could be getting ready for his senior prom but instead early enrolled to get ia jump start on his college career. I give him credit for that.
