Some of the key proposals from his 2008 campaign:
  • Cap and trade
  • 5 million green jobs for a meager $15 billion/yr investment
  • Our $9 trillion debt was irresponsible and unpatriotic
  • Promised to go through the budget and eliminate waste with a scalpel
  • The rich should pay "just a little bit" more
  • Virtually no discussion of Obamacare
Subsequent to his election:
  • No more discussion of cap and trade (wildly unpopular)
  • No more talk of 5 million green jobs
  • $19 trillion debt not discussed
  • No plans to cut budgets
  • Replaced with free and heavily subsidized health insurance
  • Rich are paying a "lot more" and he still wants more
Now we've switched to:
  • A war on women
  • A war on blacks
  • A war on gays and transexuals
  • Free guaranteed wages
  • More free paid time off
  • Free community college
  • Free pre-K schooling
  • Student loan forgiveness
