What if we hold OSU to less than 13?

Then PSU will either stay #2 or go to #1 in the AP - which, by the way, doesn't matter.

All that matters is a win in this game, on the road in Columbus. A 14-13 win would be just fine.

Then run the table and get Wisconsin in B1G championship. Followed by TCU or Clemson, followed by Alabama or Georgia....that's right, the road to dreamland is paved by 4 teams in the top 10....!

I don't think you get the question.

I do understand the question - but I don't think you understand the fact that Michigan isn't that great. Yes - they have a really good D and no one is disputing that. But no one gets ranked according to their D alone. They get ranked according to winning. They've lost two games: One to PSU and one to MSU. They're ranked where they should be. This is starting to sound like InfoWars - Penn State edition.

My only concern is PSU scores one more point than OSU.
If PSU can figure out a way to win 1-0, I'm good with that.
If PSU wins 49-48, I'm good with that, too.
It's going to be a very tough game against a very tough opponent in a very tough venue.
As for MeatChicken, that's old news. I'll think about Little Jimmy and his boys again in the fall of 2018.

I would like your post except I obviously want tOSU to win. Aside from that difference, you're spot on.

Well, Michigan went from #7 to unranked as a 2 loss team. #6 Ohio St would then have 2 losses too with wins over arguably a weaker group than Michigan's wins. So should that make Ohio St also unranked?

Ohio State is definitely a more complete team and the game is in Columbus. If PSU can maintain drives and win the field position game, I think they come away with it. If Ohio State gets a short field a few times, the Nits are in trouble.

not in this beauty contest..

I smell the same euphoria that engulfed some here before the Pitt Game. Wacko's were predicting 70 points. We had a number of big advantages against Michigan. In addition, Michigan has a lousy offense. Let's not put Ohio State anywhere near Michigan at this point. I hope for a good showing from PSU. Anyone thinking blowout on either side is smoking dope.

I appreciate the acknowledgement that OSU is a more complete team than Michigan this year, but don't most teams win if they have an advantage in field position and can maintain long drives? Isn't the exception to that rule if the opponent ends up with short fields because of turnovers or special teams play? Wouldn't OSU have a good chance of winning if they win the field position game and can maintain long drives?
