What is that headstand cartwheel thing IMar does from bottom?

Everytime Nolf was on top, IMar from bottom did his headstand cartwheel thing that is more than a Granby. It was very effective against Nolf this year!

What is that move? Is it common? Do others use it? Is it new? I saw IMar use the same (or similar) move in the California state finals one year.

In a word...unstoppable.

Basically, yep. Nobody can stop that, but I sure would have liked to have found out what would have happened if he tried that with Ringer. Ringer is as strong as a house, he might have been caught flat on his back.

Yup. He's pretty good :)
Video attached. He does that with Ness and Green at least. I'm thinking he can do headstands without his arms. Just pure power there in the head and neck

I'll wait to hear Cael say it's unstoppable. Might be a long wait.

Sometimes you tip your hat to the other guy. Imar is not unbeatable, but his go to move is. That said, Jason has taken him down more than anyone, and two takedowns in a match, and he can hit that roll to his hearts content and lose 5-3, I'll take that too.

But anyone who thinks Imar stays at 157 next year, I cannot see it, the kid was struggling with the weight pull, badly, all year.

Yes - A forward roll using his head and no arms is an impressive show of strength.

You can see it at the 3:07 mark on that video. Good post CentexLion.

I dont disagree with you but I'm pretty sure he's going 65kg for the trials. I know that it's different weigh ins, but that extra 14 lbs seems like a lot of extra weight to cut for someone who's struggling with 157.

Well, if he stays then he stays, but that weight management issue isn't going away, and it's not automatic that he wins every match with Jason by one point. This is not Dake/Taylor, he has in fact lost to Nolf, and he was one granby roll from possibly losing to him at Nationals. I won't even mention that fiasco at B1G's that was ruined by Perry, to me that match is thrown out.

I don't know, Dude. First, he gets pinned, then he wins in OT, then he just wins. Seems like he's trending upwards in this rivalry.

IMar is a great wrestler. Jason Nolf has to be awfully good, Ian Miller too, to be that close. IMar is just better.

I love Cali wrestlers succeeding at the highest level. It's good for wrestling here and the sport in general. That being said, I hope Imar stays at 157 next year. I think Nolf has more upside and the trend will go the other direction.

Since January I've been hearing that what appeared to be a struggle for IMar to manage 157 was actually the effects of him shrinking his body and maintaining a walk around weight that makes a push for 65kg possible.
