Football What is the latest injury update on Penn State RB Nicholas Singleton?

I watched the 60 minute version on the B1G last night. Singleton had a really good run a few minutes into the 3rd quarter for about 9 yards about 6:09 into the 3rd quarter. It was a rough run and he got upended and landed awkwardly doing a flip. The next play was a run by Kaytron so Singleton came out and was never seen again afterwards. However, the way he landed didn't look like a leg. My bet is that he had a concussion or strained an arm/shoulder. But that is pure speculation.

Short term probably means a no for Purdue and a probably no for Minny, unless really needed. This is too bad because you could see that he was far more explosive in the Washington game than even OSU.

Oddly, where we'll miss him most is in pass protection. He is an exceptional college RB pass blocker. Allen has improved in blocking, but Singleton is special. He holds his own against LB's and even DE's. If we play the freshmen RB, it is probably a run or quick pass. Or, we leave a TE or Allen in for blitz pick up. If we have one of the kids alone in the backfield, I'd automatically dial up some pressure. I don't think it'll matter with Purdue but Minny is a little tougher.

And as a receiver. He's got 22 catches for 218 yards with 4 TDs (tied with Tyler Warren for team lead)

I think Allen and Singleton are great in pass protection at this stage of their careers. Singleton slightly better but both are very very good. But yes Allen will have to be in there most of the time if he's out for that reason.

He will be really needed. For both games.

Watch it closely, he totally flipped and landed hard on his neck. My guess is a strained neck muscle. JMO

Is Delcolion915 the old Wallace Breen poster?

DelcoLion915...were we going to lose that 2021 Iowa game even if Clifford did not get hurt?

Breen spent too much time talking about blocking schemes and commenting on teams he had not even watched. Long winded crap poster who had to be trolling.

I highly doubt they are the same.

I could never quite rule out the possibility he was a pathetic Cliff Claven-type trying to impress with off-beat takes and complete BS that he didn't quite understand could be easily fact-checked. Troll is the most likely explanation.
