Does anyone have a recap of sorts on where we stand with open offers and backup plans?

I realize there are a lot of disparate threads, but my take is that we have needs in the following areas: DT, LB, DB, K and WR. IMO we can use another OL, but I'm not sure if that's a priority.

In a perfect world, those spots would fill out as follows:
DT: Dioubate; Shelton; is Watts off the table?
LB: Ferns
DB: Hamlin; Hudson; Hill
K: Barbir
WR: Hansford

Is this the best case possible scenario? Any folks a deep reach here? If a good number of these folks commit, there's a lot to be optimistic about.

If things don't pan out so well, have we ever been in the mix with alternative candidates that have verballed elsewhere?

Would Simmons' teammates who've committed to Md consider Happy Valley, namely Davis, Turner or Ellis? I heard Ellis was firm, but it seems like nothing is firm until the LOI is dry. Is there a shot there on any of these especially given the coaching change and the high level defections to OSU?

Temple has a few players that could fill needs, like Benny Walls a DB from Prep with 4.4 speed who played with Reid; Hennesy OL from Bosco looks decent also.

RU thoughts are Battle (a 3 star LB from PA), Shelton (a speedy 3 star LB) and WR Mack.

Thoughts?
