When the President Trump proposed the Travel ban, which wasn't a ban, then is a ban back in January he stated it was just temporary for 100 days or so until "extreme vetting" could be implemented. It's been almost 5 months since the ban was proposed and the administration is still pushing for the ban/no ban/ban when by their own time table it should be irrelevant by now.
Maybe the Obama vetting was pretty thorough and there is nothing else Trump can do except keeping all Moslems without oil money out of the country.
