Can't believe they set up beer sales right next to the restroom entrances. Not only were the beer lines long, they blended right in with the people trying to use the restroom. Foot traffic was always bad before this numbskull move, it only made it worse. Anyone have issues with this or am I just an old fart who can't wait forever to get to the men's room?

They put Top Golf near IKEA for a reason. I think similar logic applies here, though don’t ask me to explain how. The positioning would minimize the steps needed for those renting beer. That said, as an old fart myself, standing in line for the restroom sucks.

That was an absolute night mare and very dangerous. People were standing in food line, beer line and bathroom line. People were coming up the ramp to get to there seats. Who ever thought putting the beer stands in those places our absolutely clueless

Having held season tickets for 48 years now and being a prostate cancer survivor, I find it ridiculous to do what they did with the beer sales locations. The center concourse walkway has the concession stands and walkways where you have to fight to get anywhere at half time. Now throw in a beer sales line and it's a major cluster f_*k. I'm sure the elderly event participants do not appreciate the lack of thought that went into this situation.

I agree with everything posted above. What a mess, particularly the upper concourse. There is not enough room to flow the people through there after adding the beer lines and predictably longer restroom lines. You didn't know what line you were in. I said at halftime, the more beer they sell, the more restrooms they will need. A half hour before kickoff, the ramps from the ground to the upper concourse were jammed from top to bottom and not moving.

Traffic was the usual nightmare too. I'm in North zone, lot 22. I got in to town relatively late. around 5:15. Not much of a traffic problem. Half way through Toftrees, the traffic stops. I think, OK, my fault. I was too late. In the end, the problem was that 1 or 2 out of every 5 cars stops to question the cop directing traffic at Fox Hollow for what seems like a minute or so. That is just stupid. I don't understand the confusion after what, 3.5 years?

Leaving after a night game is a nightmare for most. Probably the only luxury for me on gameday, since I started parking in 22, I have never once had to sit in a back-up after any game. It appears they have now directed some of the West lots out via Fox Hollow. It was a standstill for the first time ever for me. Over an hour to get out of 22. One lane traffic for 2 plus miles directly out of the lot through Toftrees to Waddle. I get it, people sit longer. This was a total surprise.

I complain here, but I will still go. Thought the people management was the worst I had ever seen yesterday.

Because the stadium is an outdated dump that was pieced together and was never designed to grow into the monstrosity it is now. Think about it the ground level concourses were built when it was a 56k stadium. There is no good areas for beer sales so they put them where they could. If they put them elsewhere you or someone else would be complaining.

I look forward to the threads of people who can't fathom why Beaver needs a fairly extensive overhaul to bring it up to the 2000s as far as "what you need in a modern stadium when it comes to ingress/egress, amenities, restrooms, and related thing". Since this issue is due to the fact that the stadium is in no way designed for or well set up for the modern game going experience that people who have been going to sports for the past 20-30 years expect and or demand.

If there was ever some sort of mass tragedy/ Panic, people will get trampled

You problems getting out on Fox Hollow were due to an accident.

My oldest is a freshman at Penn State this year and it’s my first year as a season ticket holder. I’m in lot 24. I sold my tickets to this one. :(. Just couldn’t see me getting home at 3:00am or later.

I hear ya. Same for me. I have slept in the lot after night games a few times. Woke up at 6, started it up and drove home. Depends on the type of vehicle you have, I guess.

The concession line is always awful, and perhaps even worse on Saturday. It seemed like a lack of organization or staffing perhaps. The overall stadium experience is still amazing, though. Nothing else like it.

Might not be an error. Put it where the people already are congregating.

How about putting it where the people come out of the bathroom or against the outside wall.
Don't put them under the East or West concourse. People are willing to wait in those lines (how long were the waits?) they would be willing to walk to the North End Zone.

I didn’t realize that was an option.

I have been told unofficially that as long as you are gone before they come to clean up, you are fine. There are a number of buildings between lot 22 and the ORV parking area where you can tuck your vehicle in there and nobody will bother you. I have backed my truck up to a loading dock at one of the buildings a couple times over the years and just styayed there. After about midnight, the place is empty of tailgaters. The only people left are the ones that are crashing overnight. I've done it at least 4 times over the last 7 years or so. Never had a problem.

If there is truly no place to put them, then why have them? $ maker!

Exactly to make money. Some parts of the stadium there are better areas for it but some it always going to be a cluster. I think eventually they are just going to have to integrate beer sales into the normal stands.

Same wall = Fresh beer

Maybe. Accident was on Waddle, but it was clear once I got to the Toftrees golf course.
I'm lot 22 for the first time this year. I was hoping getting out of there after the Minnesota game was due to something other than normal congestion after a night game. It's bee easy getting out of there up to the is point (as long as you can get traction on the wet grass during a rain game that is). It took close to 30 minutes just to get from our parking spot up to the entrance gate from lot 22 to Orchard Rd, which was not at all far. The lot attendant there told that to get to I99 he advised us to turn right onto Orchard Rd and wrap around overnight RV and turn left at the stop sign to go to the intersection with Park Ave and the Mt. Nittany Medical Center. That was all clear. We had to wait maybe five minutes until the traffic cops allowed our line of cars to make the left turn onto Park Ave and it was smooth sailing onto I99 from there. No mention of a traffic accident, though.

Good to know this for the future. I assumed we had to exit the same way we entered, off Fox Hollow.

This post has probably closed the loophole though!

I used to get home from these games between 2:30-3:00 am when I had a yellow parking pass. I remember sitting in the parking lot for hours without moving. Since they changed around the parking, I have no issue getting out of the lots. I was home in bed at 1:15 am on Saturday.

At 9am Sunday, there are lots of cars still in the parking lots (just about every lot) that do not leave until after that.

Somebody posted here years ago that the magic hour was much later than that. Maybe early afternoon. I could be wrong.

I stay overnight in an RV lot and I'd estimate between 200 and 300 vehicles still parked in various lots when I leave.
