It is possibly a sign that the board needs major work.
1) Clean up on aisle 1, well actually it all needs cleaned up. I'm not sure how relevant a march madness thread in May is.
2) It's been mentioned that pinned threads at the top causes people to scroll half way down the page before reaching any new information. I don't think we should wait until there are enough pinned threads to force the first new content onto page 2 to determine that this is not a good way to do pinned threads.
3) The new format does suck and rivals dictating that the thread view/topic view choice is not for us to decide is a clear sign that rivals is not listening to its customer base. In general, this is a good way to lose business.
The suggestion is to return BWI to the old format until a new format can be rolled out that doesn't resemble the rollout of the Obamacare website.
